Junior Vikings
Children and Grandchildren of members can also join the Junior Vikings. This is a group of children and young people between birth and 18 years of age who are insured through the Independent Order of Vikings. It is also a social group that has fun activities throughout the year. When a Junior reaches the age of 16 they are eligible to transfer into the lodge as a senior member.

Viking Scholarships
The Vikings offers various scholarships to their members.
National Scholarships: ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS SCHOLARSHIPS for 2025 The Grand Lodge and Ingjald Lodge have Scholarships. It is time to start planning. Scholarship Applications are available in the office after January 1st of each year. Applications must be received in the Grand Lodge office before March 1st of each year. Applicants must be a junior or senior member of the lodge for at LEAST 6 MONTHS prior to submitting application and have paid their dues for the year. They must be a high school senior who has received confirmation of acceptance from an institute of higher learning. Please keep this in mind for 2025 to be sure your child has been a member for the required 6 months.
Since 1964 there have been 341 scholarships awarded totaling $251,400!!! The Vikings are dedicated to helping and encouraging our young adults to become all they are capable of as they begin the next chapter in their lives.
The Harold Oquist Memorial Scholarship is sponsored by the Viking Boat Club. It would be awarded to a graduating
Senior (male or female) who would be entering the trades: carpentry, electrical, glazing, mechanics, plumbing, tool-die,
or welding.
Applications are available in the lodge office. Must be returned by June 1st.
