Head Trustee Bryan Nelson, representing Jamestown Viking Ingjald Lodge, is pictured presenting $400 donation checks to Major John Merchant of the Salvation Army, Billy Witherspoon of UCAN, and Shawn Whitmer of St. Susans/Community Helping Hands. This has been a longstanding tradition of the local Viking Lodge.
Donations were made to St. Susan Center, UCAN and the Salvation Army. A $300 check was given to each organization to help them with their work with people in need. The dinner was held Sunday, April 22, 2012 from noon to 3:00 PM. This event raised approximately $900.00 for the LUCAS 2 Chest Compression System. Thank you to all who volunteered their time to work and to all who bought tickets.

A BIG VIKING THANKS to JIMMY SCRIVEN AND THE BAND HARBOUR KNIGHTS for the donation of their time and talent on October 22nd’s Benefit for the Maple Springs Fire Department and their efforts to purchase a Lucas 2 Chest Compression System. The Chest Compression Machine provides the necessary chest compressions for an individual who has suffered a cardiac arrest and a defibrillator has not been able to restart the heart. The Compression Machine costs $15,000.00. Also a special thank you for all the band has done this year.

Vikings Send Help to Hurricane Sandy Victims. Our Viking Lodge partnered with Fastenal to send $1,573.77 worth of clean up
items such as gloves, shovels, garbage bags, safety glasses, dust masks, duct tape to hurricane Sandy Victims. These
items were loaded on a bus heading for New York City.
